High-End Restaurant Fit-Out with Structural Alterations
The project involved converting an existing retail store into a high-end food and beverage restaurant. Structural works included relocating internal staircases, reinstating them, and installing a new shopfront. The interior was finished to a premium standard, featuring wallpaper and intricate plaster moulding details on walls and ceilings.
A fully operational kitchen was constructed at basement level, along with new customer WCs. The ground floor was designed to accommodate a new bar and pastry counter with marble tops, complemented by banquette seating with marble and brass tables.
Additional features included a grab-and-go serving hatch and counter area. External seating areas were refurbished to enhance the overall customer experience.
Solution
Design detailing was critical to achieving the client’s desired look and feel, using premium materials and working collaboratively with the joinery provider. Programme management played a key role due to the structural works and limited space available on site.
During the fit-out, it was essential to ensure subcontractors had adequate space to work and that the programme was structured to enable efficient progress and meet handover dates.
Mechanical design required careful management from installation through to final positioning to avoid impacting the overall aesthetic.
Logistics and material management were equally important given the restricted site conditions, ensuring timely deliveries and smooth coordination throughout the project.
