Ford Manchester – Full Mechanical, Electrical, Interior & AV/IT Fit-Out
The project comprised a high-spec Category B office fit-out within an existing CAT-A space, transforming a 17,000 sq ft floor plate into a modern, comfortable workspace that meets Ford’s corporate standards. Works included full MEP installation with coordinated HVAC design and integration, staged commissioning for seamless delivery, and structural reinforcement to ensure stability.
Acoustic enhancements were introduced for improved sound control, alongside advanced AV/IT systems for connectivity. Premium interior finishes, bespoke joinery, signage, and glazing completed the aesthetic, while quality was assured through a rigorous snagging and certification process, all delivered under disciplined project management and site control protocols.
Solution
MGL Projects acted as the Main Contractor, managing site delivery and maintaining close collaboration with the Ford project team and CBRE.
A dedicated delivery team was deployed, supported by MGL’s Project Execution Tracker, weekly reporting, and disciplined subcontractor management to coordinate MEP, structural, and AV/IT workstreams.
Detailed MEP coordination drawings, sequenced works, and staged commissioning helped minimise on-site clashes, while a structured snagging and certification programme ensured all systems were tested, certified, and handed over on schedule, meeting quality expectations and aligned approvals
