Brunswick Centre Café Fit-Out with Bespoke Joinery & MEP Integration
MGL delivered a comprehensive fit-out for Joe & The Juice at the Brunswick Centre, working in close collaboration with the client’s design and project management team to ensure brand standards and operational requirements were met.
The scope included bespoke bar and joinery, kitchen fabrication for both front-of-house and back-of-house areas, new tiled flooring, timber panelling, and decorative finishes to internal walls.
Exposed ceilings and services were installed and finished to match the design aesthetic, while new mechanical systems were integrated seamlessly with landlord infrastructure.
Additional works included internal and external signage, supply and installation of furniture, and implementation of fire safety systems. Landlord coordination and day-to-day permit management were handled proactively to avoid delays.
Solution
To ensure successful delivery, MGL maintained close collaboration with the client’s design and project management team, guaranteeing alignment with brand standards and programme requirements. Robust programme management was implemented to coordinate multiple workstreams and sustain momentum throughout the fit-out.
Logistics and site operations were carefully planned to manage deliveries and subcontractor activities within restricted site conditions, preventing congestion and delays. Mechanical systems were integrated seamlessly with landlord infrastructure while preserving the intended design aesthetic.
A rigorous quality control process, combined with comprehensive compliance checks, ensured all fire safety and operational requirements were met ahead of handover, enabling a smooth transition to full functionality.
